Saturday 5th of September saw the first instalment of the Season Opener at Ditton Field. What isn’t a first is the annual Old Kingstonians Football Club game versus the school 1st XI. Following last year's 3-1 defeat the school team were hoping to put together a better showing.
It was a highly competitive match, and I think all would agree that the OKs had their work cut out for them this year. Alumni goal scorers were James Gawn (Kingstonian 2016) with 2 and Jack Moran (Kingstonian 2011) with the equaliser.

KGS 1st XI kicked off the season with a pre-season fixture against the OKs on a beautiful morning at Ditton Field. In a competitive and entertaining contest, both sides used the game as valuable preparation ahead for the upcoming season, with the match finishing 3-3. Goals for KGS came from Jake, Jonah and Jem, while Imogen was recognised for an outstanding performance and was deservedly named Player of the Match by the OKs.

We had a great day last Saturday playing our annual fixture against the school first XI - a competitive 3-3 draw with some fantastic goals scored by both sides. The school team clearly have a lot of talent, and we wish them good luck for what promises to be a great season! The OKs begin our season in Division 4 of the Arthurian League on Saturday 12th September at Ditton Field, and we're always open to more recruits so if you're an Old Kingstonian looking to play some more football, please get in touch!
